Almost 10 years ago, I discovered the "100 dreams" list. While reading a book, I came across an article about a man's life at the end of his life. He was telling his children about all the things he had done with this list. And I was inspired! I started to imagine all the things I would be brave enough to do if they were on my list.

I took a pen and paper and I started to think about it, but very quickly I ran out of ideas... I realized that it was not so easy to list my dreams.

Years have passed, and I still haven't managed to list 100 things, but I'm still thinking! (I'm at 55 dreams)

Once a year, I look at my list. I take the time to reread, check off things I've accomplished, remember dreams I had a few years ago, and add new ones!

This year I have seen its effect on my life. For a while now, I had wanted to do a skydive. I was clearly terrified to do it. And every time an opportunity presented itself, I would find a good excuse to avoid it. This year, I felt how life is moving faster and faster. Not wanting to lose opportunities because of my fears or lack of courage, I decided that it was time for me not to close the doors that were opening in front of me.

A few months later, a co-worker told me about his skydive. He was telling me how amazing it was, that it was the best place to do it, and that I wasn't going to regret it. Looking back at my list, I thought, it's now or never! It wasn't every day that I would have the opportunity to skydive over an island and land on the beach!

I honestly think the list played a role in my decision to do it! It was one of the craziest moments of my life. I am so proud and happy that I did it.

There is no rule on how to make your list, you can write "small" dreams, projects, desires and "big" ones. Don't limit yourself to the possible, you don't know what the future holds. And you don't really know in what form all these projects will come true. But having them in front of you, written down, gives you a different power and control. You can't deny them anymore, they are there for the rest of your life.

I sometimes imagine myself, at the end of my life, telling my grandchildren about all the things I have accomplished in this life. All the times when I didn't feel capable, but still found the courage to do it.

If I've made you want to start your list, feel free to share your thoughts in comments!
